I hope they don't go down that road. That'll be awful and a bad way to introduce new fans to him.

Well I wouldn't say he killed him, just never saved him.

Well I wouldn't say he killed him, just never saved him. Superman threw Zod against a wall and Zod fell to his death. He killed Zod.

I'm sure you'll get New God fans debating against you on the Darkseid part. Phantom will be at the front of the list.

True, but lets be honest here the new gods can only be succesful with superman.hence why i believe darkseid should be in the third or fourth movie(assuming ofcourse they will keep making movies)

I think it'll be awesome to mention his name or New Gods, New Genesis or Apokolips.

Superman threw Zod against a wall and Zod fell to his death. He killed Zod. I heard Richard Donner cut rectified that. All three kryptonians were alive and imprisoned at the end. As for the New Gods, fanboying aside, I still don't think they can fit thematically into a Superman movie. Superman is about a being sent from another world finding its place alongside humanity, despite his godlike power. Throw in two actual groups of gods in there, and all that flies away. Unless you ditch the whole "gods" angle and just have Darkseid invade Earth, but then you don't have Darkseid, you just have a cosmic tyrant, and you might as well go with Mongul or something. If you're gonna do something, do it right.

Pfft! You have Smallville series for Smallville stuff. This is Superman, not Superboy. I want the movie to focus on that accordingly. I do not mind flashbacks to growing up or even a few scenes at the beginning that show him struggling with being an alien but having it take up a whole first half of the movie is not going to make me happy. How about the All-Star version? It reduces his entire origin story to just eight words: "Doomed planet. Desperate scientists. Last hope. Kindly couple."

I'm not. ;D Turns out it is deleted content. Yeah, not really official, but it does show their intent in the matter.

But theatrical releases are all that matter when it comes to movie canon unless a deleted scene is referenced directly in a sequel that is. All things considered, the deleted scene is an Elseworld.
