Hero Complex just broke the news that Amy Adams has just been cast to portray Lois Lane in the 2012 Zack Snyder helmed Superman reboot, which will be titled 'Superman: Man of Steel' This is only one of a few roles that have been cast so far, but Snyder has said more should be coming soon. Here is what he had to say about Amy Adams as Lois Lane:

Lex Luthor and kryptonite both need to NOT be in this movie.
Superman needs a villain that is a physical threat to Metropolis, and one which he must protect against. Not some bald headed human. OK, If he is some minor role that is a secondary villain whose behind the scenes or something, that's fine. But focusing the whole movie on that guy as the villain is just so boring and is just dooming it to fail. IMO of course.

I would not mind the first movie being a setup for Luthor in the second. Say the events of the first one with Superman vs Brainiac for example, heavily influence Luthor (who is a background character in the first movie) to get rid of Superman in the second movie as the main villain. Oh and Rachel McAdams would have been so much better. I do not even remember Amy Adams in anything other than The Wedding Date and she was not that great in it. Rachel McAdams, the preferred Lois Lane. Attachments:
