Well deserved indeed. X-Factor is the best thing I've read from Marvel in a while, and I don't even like X-men!

Why does his name sound familiar? He also has several novels. Maybe you heard of his with his sci-fi stuff. Or you could have heard his name dropped in the X-Factor video review ckal and I did.

I'm utterly flabbergasted by this choice.

Why? Peter David is an established novelist and a really great comic book writer.

Why? Peter David is an established novelist and a really great comic book writer. Choosing him over Jim Butcher? Neil Gaiman? Ron Marz? I'm just shocked...

I never read that anyway. Exactly, Peter David is an insect compared to Neil Gaiman who is deservingly one of the living pillars amongst fantasy writers. American Gods alones blows everything Peter David has ever done out of the water.

[ So you have read Peter David's work then? Yes, he is a good writer (especially considering what he has had to work with sometimes). Don't misunderstand me. But he can't hold a torch to Gaiman or Butcher. Comparing Gaiman to David is like comparing Mozart's Symphony N. 32 in G major to your third grade musical

Just out of curiosity, what Peter David stuff have you read? I ask because not everything he writes is made of solid gold but most of everything I have read from him has been. I just want to know what you are using for your comparisons and what issues you have with these writings.

Choosing him over Jim Butcher? Neil Gaiman? Ron Marz? Were they even in the running?

Just out of curiosity, what Peter David stuff have you read? Just to name a few: Star Trek: New Frontier (which he co-created and was very good) Spider-man 2099 Heroes Reborn: the Return lots of his wolverine stuff I ask because not everything he writes is made of solid gold but most of everything I have read from him has been. Whereas everything Gaiman has written, period is gold. I just want to know what you are using for your comparisons and what issues you have with these writings. I have no issues with him, he is a good writer. Gaiman is better, that is all.

Hmmm..... Seems like a gross exaggeration Crom. No one writes pure gold all the time. Plus you never told me what stuff you have read by Peter David.
