- You can't have MK without Khonshu.... because.... well, shit. Bendis clearly doesn't know what "avatar" means, does he?
-TV producer, right. He needs the cash. Except for all that money from his mercenary past, his stock earnings (an assload), and all the money he got from the "DOWN SOUTH" arc......

Yes, that's very odd, but like I said in the video, the Civil War-era was the darkest and most depressing time for the character. He was really messed up during that period and it's not an accurate representation of Marc Spector's regular personality. |

It's been some time since I've read that arc, but I imagine there was a bit of symbolism behind it too. This is pure speculation and I'm curious on what you guys think.
Bushman and Marc were once friends and worked together. Once Marc realized that Bushman was basically pure evil, he tried to stop him and those events are what created Moon Knight. So now, his long-time villain and former friend is finally killed after a brutally violent fight (that wrecked his own legs). Marc was going on a downward spiral, so could holding the face over his be his way of questioning if he's turning more-so into the man he's stood against through the years?

He was disturbed in the Civil War time, but he wasn't schziophrenic (there are numerous bits of evidence that suggest heavily that Khonshu is in fact real). In fact, I recall Marc faking having sczhiophrenia to fool a SHIELD shrink to get an ID in the registration act.... he also did a nice Khonshu impression (which was what sealed the deal - using information gathered by The Profile).
He does not. Have. Sczhiophrenia. He makes it up to get info - but he doesn't have it for real.

I think Marc was losing himself after he killed Bushman. And yes, maybe he thought he was becoming Bushman in a way.
But still.... The only thing he could have done that was worse than the face thing is masturbating with the face.
