Hm, odd.... this reminds me of when Daniel Way made Deadpool have voices in his head for no reason other than to give him a makeshift supporting cast. At least that decision was made in SOMEWHAT good judgement (giving DP someone to talk to)...(Obviously Way-Pool sucks, so lets not even go there - just saying).. instead of "Well, um, I'm too busy to do .... RESEARCH! Pshaw! I already wrote this character! I'll just switch him back to the other version! FUCK RESEARCH! Now, excuse me, I have to go polish my bald head with the saliva of the screaming fanbase, AND masturbate to Luke Cage's picture! EXCUSE ME!"

Never said I don't enjoy the character, just that he could be a lot more.
Silver Surfer stars in what was advertised as a completely groundbreaking story - only it has been done like 4 times before and disregards a good portion of his history. Geoff Johns retcons 4 things from Hal Jordan's past in every single GL issue. Sh!t happens.
