Spider-Man at the end of One More Day.... I still have not been able to read a Spider-Man book because of that one.

Bendis wrote Ultimate Spider-man in character... because he was the one who ostensibly created that characterization.

The premise alone is so OOC that I don't need to.

Martian Manhunter under Geoff Johns during Brightest Day. Out of curiosity, how? I've Ostrander's MM, and I've read BD, and I haven't noticed any gross character derailment between the two.

Bendis writes Daredevil in character, obviously. Spider-Man, too, even though he somewhat overdoes it with the jokes.

Wasn't really referring to you, beat. But it's kind of hard to write a great run on a character for 70 issues and not being able to grasp what makes him tick. And Bendis did that with DD. It's when he started working on events and team books that everything went down the drain.

Martian Manhunter under Geoff Johns during Brightest Day. Out of curiosity, how? I've Ostrander's MM, and I've read BD, and I haven't noticed any gross character derailment between the two. Vuviper and I had a conversation about that in a PM, and this is what I said to him: "Same. Personally, I thought his decision to try to kill D'kay and himself to derail his character. He killed Malefic by flying him into the sun on Z'onn Z'orr, but to me, it just felt out of place this time. I have never been particularly fond of the way Geoff Johns writes Martian Manhunter (I have issues with how he writers plenty of characters nowadays), but the entire ordeal with J'onn choosing between earth and Mars was just off, in my opinion. He has always chosen earth over Mars since he left. The Hyperclan tried to convince him to work with them, since they were Martians also, and he turned on them. He fought Malefic to protect the JLA twice (in his solo series and in the Ghosts of Mars). He fought White Martians again in Terror Incognita. Now, in The Others Among Us, he was acting more alien (no pun intended) toward his fellow heroes as he worked to protect the White Martians in disguise, but he fought against them too, as well as Cay'an. The only time I can think of where he was actually reluctant to choose earth was in A Midsummer's Nightmare when Doctor Destiny put him into a dream state where his family was alive, and J'onn wanted to stay with them. Aside from that, I never really understood where the issue of him having this difficult pick between earth and Mars came from." And he agreed with me on this. If Vuviper says something relating to MM, it's automatically true.
