I'd like to see in the writers for this battle: Denny O'Neil, Greg Rucka, Chuck Dixon and Ed Brubaker Not sure when Brubaker and Rucka became action/martial arts writers but agreed on Denny and Chuck.

A non-cannon (thank god) Richard Dragon series. So i've heard,did Dragon really allow himself to be killed only to be brought back? He was doing pretty well against her, then he had the chance to beat her, but her followers all jumped in and stopped him. I think he decided that he didn't want to kill her. So he let her kill him. And then Neron brought him back, but he didn't know he would.

It's because they're good at characters and okay art martial arts stories. Rucka and O'Neil worked well on The Question special for Blackest Night which has Shiva in. The story was, for me the best special of the BN solos.

When was the last time Shiva and Dragon fought anyway? I'm not sure, the last thing I read with Dragon was when he wrecked Arsenal to stop him from going after Shiva because he knew she would murder him easily. Not that it matters. Lack of comic book appearances recently doesn't diminish how skilled they are.
