Meh the series hasn't been the same since Johns left. Have to admit the promise that was offered was definitely not delivered on. There was so much talk about how Willingham was going to use Obsidian more. I was hoping that that would have been correct. The character of Obsidian has not received good treatment at all. For one thing the potential of the character. I always thought it would make a great story for him to deal with the darker side of souls he see's. This ability of his is the perfect reason for him having the cynicism he had early on. All they had to do was a story where he realized that yes there is darkness around him but him being powered by that darkness makes him the perfect foil. Tie it into his christian faith and have him come to the realization that his "calling" was to serve the "higher power' with his ability.

I love the JSA. I have been reading them for a LONG time. Alan Scott for the win. It will be interesting to see how the Starheart is going to affect him no that he has full control again.

JSA are pretty awesome... I like Doc Fate and Alan Scott... You'll get no argument from me there. Alan is and always has been my favorite comic character and Dr fate usually comes in either 2nd or 3rd alternating with the Aussie comic Superman/Spectre of Dark Nebula (i.e Australian Cyclone comics most powerful character )

What was it you once said on a CV battle forum involving Alan. Something like "whenever I see Alan Scot in a title I know beatboks will be there"

See, that might get me out of this "I don't like comics anymore" phase. I need to get more Golden Age/Silver Age stories. I have plenty of Silver Age stuff, but I'm lacking in Golden Age.
