If you had to pick the 10 most intellectual characters in comic history (all publishers), who would they be and how would you rank the list?

Let's exclude cliche "all knowing" entity type characters. That's just not fun.

This is pretty tough. Particularly if we are not limited to Earthbound characters. Marvel's famous "top 8" during Fall of the Hulks/World War Hulks was strictly Earth based.

Strictly Earth minds, I want to know if Stark ended up bumping anyone down a peg when he was rebooted. I am sure he was on the list before, but since he did get smarter from his reboot.....

Let's go ahead and keep it Earthbound.

That makes this more difficult.

On Marvel's top 9, Stark already was above people like McCoy, Cho, and Pym. Since T'Challa classified himself as being # 8 very recently in his own title, Tony should be above him, as well. That puts him below Reed, Doom, the Leader (even though the Leader being # 1 was rubbish) and at about the same level with Banner.

But then throw in some minds from DC

That makes this more difficult. And to think I was originally going to make it top 20

These are characters I listed in a thread on the Vine. It just needs to be condensed down to 10.
Brainiac(s) Darkseid Thanos Doctor Doom Reed Richards Lex Luthor Doctor Sivana Iron Man Black Panther Batman Bruce Banner Kang Niles Caulder Prometheus Hank Pym Steel Beast Deathstroke Doctor Strange Alex Luthor Mister Sinister Professor Ivo Doctor Fate Amadeus Cho Apocalypse Ra's al Ghul Magneto Mr. Terrific
There are some characters I failed to mention here though, such as the High Evolutionary, Leader, Ultron, and some others.

No idea. Their fields of expertise are quite different, even though Bruce was pretty adept with force field tech and a few other gadgets during his depowerment. I'm calling fugazi on either of them being below the Leader, though.

I think Batman, Lex Luthor and Mister Terrific are supposedly the smartest guys on DC Earth. I know Mr. Terrific is officially listed as number 3, but I can't be sure about the other two.

That whole island of evil DC geniuses from 52 could be mentioned. Was that the island of scientists where Black Adam spent time pulling spines from bodies during the WWIII arc?
