It depends on the arc (Back in Black is Spider-Man at his most emo, but also at his most badass), but generally speaking, Spidey isn't emo.

Well, we talking about a character that his life used to suck and his loved ones were in danger constantly. But he never stopped fighting for the good of humanity.
