Classics Revised

Just a little creative exercise...

You have been asked by a major comics publisher to create a new concept for a series. The only restriction is that it has to be based a literary classic, similar to what the BBC did with Dr. Jeckyll and Sherlock Holmes (btw, if you get the chance, check out Sherlock, real cool).

What is your concept?

My concept (to start)

While at sea, an American destroyer is attacked by a mysterious force with only one survivor, Peter Aronnax. Aronnax is rescued by a mysterious submarine and is taken into the confidence of its captain, a mysterious man who calls himself Nemo. Nemo himself has been hunting the same force that destroyed Aronnax's ship. The mysterious captain takes the young man into his confidence, and into his crew, as the two hunt the destroyer of surface ships. Little does Aronnax know that Nemo is not only hunting a ship sinker, but a successor, someone to assume the title Captain Nemo.
