They'll just make another deal with DC to get more money.

Was there a point there Beat'? I'm assuming your refering to the post I deleted. The post I replaced with was the point. I'll know not to quote when on the iPhone again. My "point" ended up in the middle of the quote

If you ignore Trials then he became Captain Marvel from nowhere. I'm okay with that. But I'd rather Billy just say Captain Marvel.

I'd rather him say Shazam!

I always thought that the wisdom of Solomon can aid Captain Marvel against telepathy attacks. And I found what put that into my head recently. In Sacrifice...

Anyone else ever think that Captain Marvel's Shazam attack on Superman should actually kill him? I mean the magical lightning bolt should penetrate his skin and organs.

His super-powered attributes are more then enought to resist. Clark's "weakness" to magic just means he has no special resistance to it beyond his extraordinary abilities.

The way I see it, magic affects him the same way it does against ordinary humans. Black Adam did that against a human and he died (the human).

Unfortunately, they way you see it is incorrect because Superman resists and shrugs off magic all the time in canon. But that depends on the level of magic hitting him.

no, not at all. He always has his insane levels of resistance. To hurt him with magic, you have to throw strong enough magic to overcome it.

Like in The Coming of Atlas he was getting powerful magic sent at him knocking him down leaving him to retreat to get a recovery and temporary resistance to it to beat Atlas.
And what about Power Boy, he died from a powerful attack of magic (Teen Titans East Special) and he has the invulnerability of the New Gods.

I don't remember these, but I'd say it's just an example of magic powerful enough to overcome his resistance.
