Pretty generous for a crappy movie lol. What were it's strong points? -Aaron Eckhart, he was trying his best to turn in a good performance and play his character as dark, brooding, tortured despite the complete and utter stupidity of everything happening around him. -Bill Nighy, playing demon prince Naberius. Watching this movie, every line he says except for his big evil speech of victory seemed to convey the impression that he was completely aware that he is surrounded by morons and that he constantly needs to struggle against the urge to just murder the shit out of everyone he interacts with because they're the best help he can summon for his goals of world domination. It was also painfully evident that Bill Nighy knew he was in a bad movie, so all his scenes are the most fun because you can catch how self-aware he is about what he's in -a very few of the action scenes were half decent It was a cheesy, crappy movie but in not completely bad way. Certainly better then a lot of bad movies we've had recently. Like 47 Ronin, god that one sucked.

47 Ronin frustrated me with how bad it was. I dare say it was the worst big-budget film of 2013.

But it was like the villains read the playbook of mistakes super-villains should avoid making then decided to do it anyway. I agree that it's probably the worst big budget movie of 2013

He was just doing his typical robot impersonation. So because everyone was overacting and Keanu was 'underacting', the polarization was magnified, which made it silly-bad.

But at least they had some semblance of competence sometimes. The villains however were morons.

Good morning internet. What the fuck happened to the layout? I don't mind the new look. It's better than the new CV look anyway (well on my desktop anyway, on my iphone and tablet it still looks the same)

Glad to be back in a much smaller capacity though. I never let go of that Firefly RPG we were planning to play with but now I've changed it to a fanfic. I'm trying to integrate it with the new Official Firefly RPG that steam is putting out next year. Shiny?

Sounds good dude! I ended up jumping into RPGs a bit. Play a few Pathfinder and Deathwatch games here and there.

Looks like it could be good. It doesn't look like it has a huge production value though.

Looks like it could be good. It doesn't look like it has a huge production value though. Honestly, I wouldn't care if it was handdrawn, 2D sprites as long as they deliver on the content they have described in their posts. The potential for crew members to abandon you and hire another player to kill you alone is a major selling point for me. I plan to alienate crew just to fight other players lol.

Which is the mark of a good game I feel. I'm excited for Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor. It looks like Assassin's Creed set in Middle-Earth.

Me too, Dane. The few things I have seen about Shadow of Mordor looked promising.

The only upcoming game I'm tentatively hopeful for is Dragon Age 3. But after the second one I'm not expecting that much.
