Cap Will Have A New Costume For 'The Avengers'

There has been some speculation about whether or not Captain America will be receiving a new costume for his role in 'The Avengers.' During a recent interview with MTV, Chris Evans let everyone know that he will in fact be donning a new costume for the movie, and it is awesome. Here is what he had to say:

"New costume. Yeah, it's awesome... it's really cool. And I was worried because I started to get really attached to the old one. I started to really like, start diggin' it. It's not that easy to move in, but I started really liking it. Then the first time I tried the new one on I was like 'Aww, I miss the old one.' But then they started going through, you know... it was in the early stages.. but I just came back from Albuquerque for camera tests with the new suit, it's pretty rad."

But since the new Avengers costume is a little ways off, here's a new picture of Cap with his shield in his 'old' costume to tide you over:

I'm guessing his new one will be made to look less soldier like. Or perhaps more like a modern soldier. I can see that being something that would work.

I wonder if the new costume will be more like the Director Rogers suit.

Awesome. I was wondering how they were going to handle that because his current costume might look out of place among all the others considering, like ferro said, how much of a soldier this one looks like. I can't wait to see his Avenger's costume. The new interpretations on the characters' look is one thing that I've been enjoying about all these upcoming films.
