This is a random encounter
-The fight takes place on the Heilcarrier
-Neither man is bloodlusted.
-Win by all conventional means
-Gorgon has temporarily lost his stone gaze and is wielding God killer
- Mister X is using an adamantium Katana
Who wins and why?

Mr. X because he can predict moves and can thus outfight Gorgon I think.

Morph knows the answer. I expect it in a matter of minutes.

The Gorgon's telepathy seems more advanced than Mister X's, and he has displayed strong telepathic defenses against having his mind read in return (which Mr X hasn't done). Even on the occasion that their respective mental powers cancel each other out, the Gorgon is still stronger, faster, more durable, sports a great healing factor, and is far more tactically brilliant. Mr X has the skill advantage (even though both are straight 7s in the Marvel scale) but he's never been measured without his mental abilities, while Gorgon has proven he can fight just as well, with, or without them.
Gorgon for the win.

It was just one of 342 possible outcomes.

It's a cool fight. I'd love to see this playing out in a comic.

morph- Gorgon telepathic defenses vs. Mr. X? What if it isn't the telepathic version of Mr. X, but the one whose brain maps the opponent's nervous system or whatever the hell is actually is?

Then they still cancel each other out since Gorgon can read X's mind, one way or the other. Not to mention Gorgon can use his telepathy in order to induce pain in others (he did it to Wolverine in their final showdown) so it wouldn't make much difference on the outcome.

So you're saying even if Mr. X can map the brain functions of Gorgon, the Gorgon will still read Mr. X's mind and know what he is going to do in response to what Gorgon will initially do, and he will be able to react faster than Mr. X?
Idk, but I think I'm too drunk for this.

Idk, but I think I'm too drunk for this. It's an infinite loop of mental move-prediction! I see three possible outcomes of this... 1) Their powers cancel each other out. 2) They stand staring at each other for eternity stuck in the endless feedback loop. 3) The universe explodes. lol

LOL.
The thing about the Gorgon is that he straightforwardly beat up Elektra and Wolverine at the same time while they were wearing devices that rendered them immune to telepathy, they got the drop on him, and they stabbed him through the chest, stomach, and maybe elsewhere I may forget before he started to fight back. His style is reinforced by telepathy, but it is by no means reliant upon it. That makes him the polar opposite of Mr X, who seemingly forgets what he can do when he can't read an opponent. Mr X is a beast, but really, the Gorgon is among the top 3 street level characters from both Marvel and DC due to being great in every respect. From physical attributes, to equipment, to training, to intellect, to powerset. He's the full package.

You won't be disappointed. He's one of those rare characters that has been used very selectively since his creation, and only in quality stories.

Cool. You'll have to give me some recommendations later, or in a gorgon thread.
