I think Hawkeye could be a low 5 by our standards. Sure, most of the time he does utilize a variety of weapons in his fights, but his track-record isn't bad and he certainly had a lot more training and experience than others in that rank. We could place him at high 4 at the least. I'm fine with either adjustment. After all, I pointed it out because it just doesn't seem fitting for him to be a medium. I think we should begin working through re-evaluating the 4s. I said this earlier. I agree that he should be a high 4 or possible low 5. |

Here are some notes after looking at the list.
1. We need to relook/adjust our 4's and 5's
2. Fat Cobra shouldn't be a low 6. High 6 sounds more like it.
3. Adjustments from previous conversations should be made

For how long? A week? A month? That is still nothing beyond what weekend self defense classes provide. Hmmm, good point. But hasn't Dave himself gone to a few self-defense classes himself? I read it quite a while ago, but didn't Dave have a somewhat good showing against some thugs in Kick-A$$ 2? He had just met Dr Gravity (or whatever his name was) and there was a mugging or something nearby, and Dave actually managed to pull some cool moves with his batons. |

 Real life world comparison: 1- Mentally or physically handicapped. Likely to kill himself and/or his allies before his opponent. 2 - What the average person has. Ranging from no training of any kind to basic self defense classes that girls go to where they hit the guy in a foam body stocking. 3 - What the average person has traditional access to like a martial arts hobbyist or someone who does boxing on the weekends, or took basic in some military or something like that. 4 - Someone who has advanced fighting education or anything beyond basic military training. Such as a committed martial artist, trained professional fighter, special combat force, etc etc etc. 5 - A cut above 4. Lifelong martial arts practitioner. The guy that wears the karate gi to the dinner table. Recognized martial arts instructors/masters. 6 - Where things start to get a little crazy. The real world equivalent would know nothing other than martial arts. Could not do math without using martial arts to do it I.E. "I don't know what 2 - 2 is but I know that if I kick off 2 heads, I am left with 0 heads". 7 - Logically impossible in the real world. Why is Zemo only a 4 while sinestro is higher? Also I think sabretooth should be a 5 since green arrow is.

I'm the one who proposed he be that low. His good showings against Bruce aren't IMO that good a skill showing. In a couple of them it was straight out of the Lazarus pit (which means he's physically enhanced in strength speed and durability- in one Bruce thought balloon made statement about the strength). In another Bat's and Ra's were fighting with swords (now with a sword he's definitely higher) but it wasn't even Ra's great skill with the sword that won the day, it was the fact that Bruce got bitten by a scorpion. Quite frankly his "skill" showings are below those of his guard(s) Ubu(s). And Bruce has absolutely pawned several of them. The idea of Sensei being Ra's' father is a relatively new retcon I believe (and IMHO a poor one). Ra's supposedly left his nomadic tribe at a young age to study science (specifically medicine). Since his "tribe" was Arabian or Arabic, I highly doubt his father even knew Martial arts to teach him before they re-met through the league of Assassins. Ra's created the league to be his army, and movies aside he never trained them or with them. As a general he's a great strategist, and one of the top DCU swordsman easily. Not that high on the list as a skilled h2h fighter. I believe Ra's is better than Jason Todd(who's a high 5).Yes you're right about Sensei,it's a new retcon.But without it Sensei is virtually featless. If Jason isn't up to Ra's' level maybe he needs to drop to a low as well. I really can't see anything Ra's has done in h2h combat not amped by the pit that warrants a rating any higher. I wouldn't call it featless for a man of his heightened years to defeat batman in combat. His feats are few, but definitely there. |

If your thinking of Ollie prior to that (which I believe you are) than I'd agree that Victor should be superior. Current Ollie however IMHO is vastly superior to Creed in Skill. |

I recall an occasion where Ra's fought Bruce for an hour casually h2h,as for Sensei,well i have read his orignal appearences in tec where he did nothing i believe.First he was a spectator in the Batman/Bronze Tiger fight,and after that he supposedly died in an earthquake.Did he display skill in some of his other appearences?(Deadman,Phantom stranger etc).The Batman stomping feat is from the recent Ressurection of Ra's al Ghul crossover written by Morrison,Dini and Peter Milligan.The fight in particular and the retcon are Morrisons brainchild. |

I don't think Todd needs to be kicked out of the 5s in order for Ra's to be adjusted. I think his rank is fitting (Todd). Frankly, there's A LOT of characters we need to move around. It's just a matter of going through the list.
