Would you be interested in doing a 'strength' version of this? Creator will be doing those threads here shortly. As part of the Power Grids I will be asking all Ledgers (or all those willing to ) to help populate a the grids for a lot of characteristics and powers. There will be grids for Intelligence, Strength, Endurance, Reaction Speed, Movement Speed, Hand to hand Fighting skill (so expanding what you have done here to 30 ranks), Gun Fighting skill, Melee weapon Fighting skill etc. I will be posting 3 or 4 threads at a time in the near future.

Cool. I'm loving it.
Is it just mainstream character we are using? As in main universe for characters? Like Superman from New Earth/Earth 0? And not Earth 22.

Any character as long as we can try and realistically rank them (some characters have so few appearances that there is simply no evidence to base their abilities on).

@silver, k4tz, Morph:
Why? The previous system is not as specific as this one and now characters can be more accurately placed. We no longer have to worry about Character A being in the same level as Character B when many feel they do not belong together but are not far enough away to warrant a tier change.
Besides, it is not like I unwound the fabric of the universe and upended the list entirely. The entire list was moved to its equivalent value on this list. Moving from 18 tiers to 30 is not that big of a difference.

I initially wanted a 10 tier system. 30 seems easy.

Here is my adapted list comparison for those who just are completely at a loss for words at the slightly modified system:
1- Mentally or physically handicapped. Likely to kill himself and/or his allies before his opponent.
2 - What the average person has. Ranging from no training of any kind to basic self defense classes that girls go to where they hit the guy in a foam body stocking.
3-7 - What the average person has traditional access to like a martial arts hobbyist or someone who does boxing on the weekends, or took basic in some military or something like that.
8-12 - Someone who has advanced fighting education or anything beyond basic military training. Such as a committed martial artist, trained professional fighter, special combat force, etc etc etc.
13-17 - A cut above the previous. Lifelong martial arts practitioner. The guy that wears the karate gi to the dinner table. Recognized martial arts instructors/masters.
18-22 - Where things start to get a little crazy. The real world equivalent would know nothing other than martial arts. Could not do math without using martial arts to do it I.E. "I don't know what 2 - 2 is but I know that if I kick off 2 heads, I am left with 0 heads".
23-27 - Logically impossible in the real world. Such as mastery of every martial arts in a compressed time frame like 10 years or whatevs.
28-30 - Physically impossible in the real world and damn near impossible even by comic book standards.

tbh, I'd put Luke at lvl 26-27. He was as good at duelling as Darth Vader was after only 1 year of training.
Sure, Anakin wasn't as fast in his cyborg body but he still took down plenty of Jedi Masters as Darth Vader and Luke was matching him after 1 year with very little/no instruction. Think of how skilled and powerful he becomes after decades of training. By the time Luke becomes Grand Master I have no doubt at all that he would rock the face of anyone on Tier 25 or below.

Not Deadpool. His unpredictable nature would confuse Luke and cause him to collapse, questioning the powers of the force.

Is this strictly Hand to Hand combat? Or just combat with weapons?

Not Deadpool. His unpredictable nature would allow him to die instantly and be returned to the force. Fixed.

Is this strictly Hand to Hand combat? Or just combat with weapons? Both are considered really. Some characters specialize in a specific type of combat such as swords or whatever.

It is my understanding we are only allowed to use strictly comic book showings, not novels, games, movies, tv shows, etc. I don't know because I haven't read Star Wars comics, so this is why I'm asking. If Luke has been shown to be the best duelist in comics, or had some serious skill showings over the Darth Vader one Dane previously mentioned, then cool.

I think Star Wars is a different animal though. Its novels, movies, and comics all share the same universe.
