X-Men Legacy #248 Age of X Aftermath Writer: Mike Carey Artists: Craig Yeung & Jorge Molina Age of X may be over, but not everyone is having an easy time adjusting to what happened. We see it's after effects on different members of the X-Men and how they choose to deal with the situation. We're definitely treated to a variety of coping mechanisms from our band of favorite mutants. From Cannonball to Frenzy to Rogue&Gambit their delicate mental states are analyzed and in some cases drastic measures are used. We also get to see exactly who Revenant is and how she came to be in the Age of X. This is simply a great issue from Carey. The way particular members are dealing with their respective issues is beautifully done. I loved how each individual character reacted to the situation in his/her own way. Thumbs up for this one and a great companion reading piece for fans of Age of X. I'm glad the event wasn't cheapened by an instant recovery from everyone involved and then rushed into the next story arc. 8.5/10 This is a very good issue and if you read Age of X then it's a must read.

I should find the rest of Age of X. It'll probably be good to know how it ties in with the mainstream universe.

I'd recommend it. This issue actually enhances the story if that makes sense.

After reading AoX I was still confused about a few things but this issue cleared those things up nicely. I was surprised by a how a few mutants reacted to opportunity they were given from Emma. I especially liked what she had said to Pixie.

That was pretty awesome. I hope Frenzy doesn't get lost in the shuffle.

Me too. Namor was typically robotic and unsurprising.

Lol, yea. And Magneto.... After seeing the next cover I'm more than curious about what that's all going to be about.

Yeah, I wasn't sure exactly where they were.

They were just on the outskirts of Utopia. I have no idea about the whole "going to the past" thing though, except that the next cover shows a concentration camp.

I'm glad the event wasn't cheapened by an instant recovery from everyone involved and then rushed into the next story arc. I very much agree with this statement! Definitely looking forward to finding out what is going to happen with Rogue and Magneto.

Carey is slow cooking this thing and I'm sitting at the table with my fork and knife waiting for it. This book might replace X-Force as my fav. X-book.

Dang. There's a s**tload of Age of X material I haven't read (heck, I haven't even seen it at my comic shop). I just need to find some synopsis/spoilers somewhere.
