Booster Gold #44
"Turbulence" Flashpoint Tie-In
Writer & Art: Dan Jurgens
Finished Art: Norm Rapmund
The Story:
Our story begins with Booster & Skeets (his personal robot) in Coast City. From the very get go they start noticing things that make them doubt that this is the Coast City from their timeline. The population is greater than it should be and they notice it's even higher than it was before Cyborg Superman destroyed it. Things continue to get stranger and they get even worse when they're attacked by government soldiers and even attacked by satellites from space. To make things even more confusing they overhear the government agents confuse him for an Atlantean.
We also get a recap of how Booster got into this situation and his origin in the future. I'm going to presume part of this took place in the Time Masters series. A message from Cyborg is broadcast over closed circuit tvs in the city. It then cuts to a government official who's warning the residents of Coast City of an Atlantean attack. Booster and Skeets realize that he means them and they attempt to make a time jump home. To their shock and dismay they don't go anywhere. Skeet's sensors deduct that they are in fact in their home timeline when the latest in what seems like a bad dream arrives. The government has sent in a special agent to deal with the two of them...

The government agent is none other than an intelligent Doomsday. This is where our issue ends.
7/10
This was a damn fine issue and a nice complement to the opening issue of Flashpoint. I'll definitely tune in to see what happens in the next issue.
