But on a more serious note, the only LOL should be your surprise at my enjoyment of the title. That has been more than transparent since the first issue. Like we discussed in the admin thread, I liked the brief look at David's origin, the slight twist with the Kingdom, and the fight was enjoyable to read. That in combination with the art deserves at least a 3 from me.

I don't see how a giant fight scene which resulted to little to no progression in the main plot makes it equal to this month's story and dialogue from GL. Enjoyment and quality aren't necessarily the same thing. Which isn't to say that I found Batwing to be a poor comic, just not up to standards set from the very previous issue of the same series. But it's obviously apples and oranges, so it's not like I'll change your mind, I just find it peculiar since you seemed more enthusiastic about GL # 3 in your initial description in the admin thread.

Enjoyment and quality aren't the same thing, but our personal scores take both into account. I already stated how I disagree with your opinion of Batwing 3 being nothing more than "a giant fight scene" (does it take up a large percentage? Certainly, but the other aspects are what I enjoyed the most). In the admin thread I believe I just said "I liked it," regarding GL #3. I liked Suicide Squad #3 as well, but that I believe was only a 2.5. A 3 isn't a bad score by any measure, and after putting down both issues, I can't really say I liked reading one more than the other at all.

I don't recall anything else transpiring besides the fight and the flashback about Batwing and his brother as kids.
I don't recall your exact words about either, just reiterating my general impression based on your posts. I think I gave Batwing a 2.5+ or 3 for this issue myself, so it's not like our opinions differ on the rating, just the reasoning and the comparison to GL.
