Writer: Greg Rucka Artist: Eduardo Risso Editor: Axel Alonso Rating: 8.5/10 I have no idea if back issues are allowed to be reviewed at this point in time, but I'll give it a shot anyway: Spider-Man's Tangled Web was a decent, short-lived series. Each month, a new writer (mainly composed of mainstream big-names) added a storyline that basically centered on anything Spider-Man related without primarily focusing on the web-slinger himself. Most of the issues I read were good, some were trash (like Paul Pope's "The Collaborator") and the rest were average at best. However, that's excluding Severance Package. I only read it a couple of weeks ago (while getting a great discount from my local comic store), and wasn't expecting a whole lot. Greg Rucka is a very good writer, but I hadn't read anything notable from him outside of DC. This particular arc's main rogue: The Kingpin. He doesn't appear until the final few pages, but his impact is felt throughout. The protagonist, Tom Cochrane, is a seemingly innocent devoted father and husband who is forced to take actions for a foiled weapons transport by you-know-who. So how does that relate to the respectable Cochrane? The scheme was his responsibility. Ouch. In his final hours before confronting Fisk face-to-face, Cochrane must come to terms with his grief-stricken wife and cope with the inevitable fate of his family. The Good: - Character development - Art - Unpredictability - Ending The Bad: - Quick read

Nice, I never really checked out any of the Tangled Web series, but I know there's a pretty famous Rhino story where he gains genius-level intellect.
