I saw that on TOR, but I have no intention of reading any more of the book until it comes out.
@pirateking: What are you reading right now?

@jake: I read the first issue. Morpheus should be reading it soon.
I was unaware you read Crimson Empire though, Jake.

I have seen it at the comic shop a few times and it sparked some interest. I haven't read a lot of SW comics but since it has Leia and Han I decided to give it a try.

Probably.
You may want to read Dark Empire before reading Crimson Empire at all though. CE is an indirect sequel to DE. I think you could read CE without reading DE, but it would definitely be better to read both.

I hear you. Not sure how far into the RC series that book is, but when you come around to the Thrawn trilogy, you should thoroughly enjoy it. Let me know when you read it. Do you got any star wars comic mini's you could recommend haven't read any star wars comics yet. The Thrawn trilogy can be read in comic medium, as well as a novel. However, if you choose not to read the Thrawn trilogy comic, right after that is the Dark Empire trilogy comic series, which is mandatory reading. So you should be reading some comics soon. After that, you can start reading the Crimson Empire series. As for some miscellaneous, you could pick up basically any Boba comic. He has a number of one-shots and miniseries which are usually fairly self-contained. Boba is a fun character to read about too. You could also look into the Empire comic series, which is during the Rebellion era. After that, you could read the Rebellion comic series, which is a sequel to Empire, just as a few suggestions. (I am limiting my recommendations to your current reading, rather than series that take place later on or before any of the books you read.)

So is anyone else planning to read the Revan novel soon? It was just released, and I intend to pick it up at a library, if they have it.

Dang i didn't know it was out yet I'll probably download it sometime today or tomorrow on my Kindle. It should be a really good read. Hopefully we can put Revan in some battles soon.

@pirateking: Nice. I'm right in the middle of another novel right now, but I can finish that without much delay and move onto Revan.
Hopefully, Karpyshyn's writing quality will show improvement with this book.

I have officially started the Raven book. So far so good! Good. I will pick that up as soon as I can. On an unrelated note, the release date for the Plagueis novel has been altered; instead of it being released this year on December 27, it will no2 be released next year on January 10. Fortunately, the final FotJ book, Apocalypse, will be released earlier. Instead of being released next year in April, it will now be released on March 13. That part is good news at least. Honestly, I have no idea why Apocalypse was supposed to be released next year instead of this year. With both LotF and FotJ, there were three novels released a year, continuing that cycle until all nine in each respective series were released, but for some reason, there were only two FotJ books released this year with the last one coming out next year. :-\

I'm reading Revan right now. Pretty good so far. But one major complaint: I. HATE. SCOURGE! And it's not the character per se. He's just okay, as far as I'm concerned. Neither good nor bad - though a bit weak. But for me, he's just "that guy" who is keeping me from Revan. Seriously, I got this to read about the master strategist, "me/us" from KOTOR, and one of my/our favorite Star Wars characters. Not... this guy. The general layout is: Scourge chapter Revan chapter Scourge Revan Scourge Revan On and on. And even worse, Scourge's chapters are relatively long and Revan's are somewhat short by comparison. This. Sucks. Aside from that, the book is pretty good thus far, and Revan is written rather well. Also.... (SPOILERS) HOLY CRAP! IT'S THE EXILE!!!!

@jedix: Alright.
I still have not managed to get ahold of a copy yet. I will when I can, but knowing Karpyshyn's writing and from what I heard about it, I can wait.

My friend says the Old Republic game is good. He's been given the Beta version.
