Let's go back in time a bit, shall we? Sinestro is building an army and his rings are selecting individuals. But let's pretend these rings went into the 616 Marvel Universe to pick characters. 10 rings enter the Universe...Who do you think would become ring bearers and join Sinestro's army? Please use logic when picking characters. Who would the rings go after and why? Would any of the characters resist like Batman did? Assume dead characters are alive for this scenario.

Daredevil. I think Thanos would definitely receive one. Seems anyone even partially aware of cosmic congruity is afraid of him.

Would one even benefit Galactus?

That's all I can think of.

I know there's some characters who are really feared that I just can't think of off the top of my head.

It might try to fit itself on Wolverine. He is considered scary by many.

Juggernaut, Hulk, Thing, Absorbing Man, Titania, Sin, Grey Gargoyle, Attuma--did I miss anyone? Oh, I'm sorry, wrong event.
In all seriousness though, Man-Thing and Phobos instantly spring to mind.

I'm still not sure if I could name 10 Sinestro Corps potentials in the Marvel Universe, but I think that maybe I would be able to name at least one bearer for each of the primary rings.
Red - Hulk (other potentials would be Venom and Mr. Hyde) Orange - Thanos (lust for power puts him in the greed category) Yellow - Man-Thing Green - Steve Rogers Blue - Spider-Man (let's face it, in spite of everything he's encountered, he still fights the good fight, the best way to embody hope) Indigo - Aunt May (probably the most compassionate character in the MU I can think of at the moment) Violet - Assuming that there is no gender limitation, Starfox. If the bearer must be female, then Sersi.

Hence the I had the feeling you jesting ;D. Let me recharge me sarcasm detector. Still, Phil Urich once nearly pissed himself when he woke up with Daredevil standing over him. Also, possibly, Doom.

I agree on guys like Magneto, the Void, and Thanos. Galactus is feared in a galactic, if not universal scale, but, let's face it, a SC ring isn't going to be of any use to him.
Sidenote, but Daredevil's status as the Man Without Fear implies he is fearless himself, not that he could not inspire fear in others (and very often does, exceedingly so).
I personally think Doom is more likely to be a GL due to his sheer force of will, even though his ability to inspire fear is obviously great. Technicalities such as him being evil notwithstanding.
Wolverine had pretty much everyone scared in their tracks during Enemy of the State. Which reminds me, the Gorgon would be great for the Sinestro Corps.
