I didn't know where to put this where people would be seen it so I decided here.
I just wanted to ask since a lot of us like battles and comparing heroes etc. I wanted to know who you would compare your own created main character to(Thor, Batman etc.). If you don't feel comfortable responding don't. This is for comic books as well as novels. so Don't be shy I ask because I'm curious.
I'll start.
I'd compare my main Hierophant, the Geist to Dr. Strange, Sandman and Nightwing, He uses a lot of magic, he's also a wave function and he's a wise cracking acrobat.
Next?

well, not to get into too much detail. But I'll give so ideas and let everyone find a proper comparison.
-The first is a bitter, haunted, vengeful sorcerer nonhuman who is almost two centuries old. He is motivated mostly by protecting those he cares about and avenging wrongs done to him and his kin. Aside from this he's an intellectual and a truth seeker. Knowledge is his passion and his life quest. And the quest for truth is never ending as they say.
-The second is basically a normal person caught between a rock and a hard place. Idealistic and driven, but never really getting the chance to make the difference she wants to make. And it's eating at her a lot.

The first one I'm thinking Constantine Because of the Bitter and Elric as well because of the non human. As well as the quest for truth. He also sounds like Edwin Drood from the Secret Histories series a man who really wants to protect him and his.
The second one is harder to place. Go figure.

The first one I'm thinking Constantine Because of the Bitter and Elric as well because of the non human. As well as the quest for truth. He also sounds like Edwin Drood from the Secret Histories series a man who really wants to protect him and his. I love Secret Histories, great series especially if you have the original French version, some of the story is lost in translation. definitively a good parallel. My thoughts on the character is also around the idea that he has a good sense of how immense the universe is. And in the sense, he tends to take the larger view. Combined with his cynicism it leads him to have taking a very practical approach. Like shooting someone in the face ending whatever threat that person may become immediately rather then maudling over issues of morality and redemption. Forgiveness is not his strongest trait. The second one is harder to place. Go figure. Good in a sense, if it's hard making a parallel, then it makes for a compelling character because it's more unique if you will. A lot of the first story will revolve around the price of truth. Should a truth be said if no one will believe you? Is destroying yourself because you won't be silenced worth it? Are concessions to your ideals worth the trade off of being able to keep going?

I see strong aspects of both personalities in the character.

The two seem to be polar opposites, but I guess it's possible.

They are, but this character takes different aspects that I see in both of those characters.
