www.capcom-unity.com/devroom/blog/2011/07/18/a_message_from_capcom''We'd like to thank you for your ongoing loyal support of Mega Man Legends 3. Today, however, we must regrettably announce the discontinuation of this project. [...] Unfortunately it was not felt that the Mega Man Legends 3 Project met the required criteria, and it is with regret that we must announce that the Mega Man Legends 3 Project has been cancelled, meaning that Capcom will not be releasing the Prototype or the full game. Additionally, updates of the Mega Man Legends Developer Room will cease as of today, though the North American Developer Room and its forums will remain open indefinitely.'' R.I.P.That's the second Megaman game canceled this year (the other was Megaman Universe),and he isnt in Marvel vs Capcom 3....I wonder what this all means to the franchise as a whole

Thats fine, if Capcom doesn't care about it's Megaman / Rockman franchise enough to give even the prototype a chance then I can not care enough to buy anything Capcom comes out with till they do.
!@#$ em.

Might not be so dead. As for why it was pulled, low US servbot count, bad sales of the 3DS, etc, so far I haven't heard it was due to it being a bad prototype.
Why the hell would Capcom executives use the US servbot count? America is lazy, look at our population, lack of creativity, the works! THOSE FOOLS AT CAPCOM!

Oh just to add this here: www.gameinformer.com/b/news/archive/2011/08/01/capcom-assures-fans-that-mega-man-legends-3-won-39-t-be-back-from-the-dead.aspx"We are aware of the fan created Facebook page requesting that we resume development of Mega Man Legends 3. While Capcom has a built a strong relationship with its community and values their feedback, Mega Man Legends 3 development has officially ceased without plans to resume development." Just adding this to re-affirm get that salt on the blood and establish my coveted Legend's series is thus far killed in action. Given Capcoms recent loathing of all things Megaman, he Rock won't be coming back from the moon anytime soon. "Stuck up there for a little while longer" = 10+ years

Looks like Megaman is dead after all... Cue sad video: Cue Famous Gaming Quote: Cue Crom:I don't think Rockman is dead, but Legends as of now is dead. Unless we start holding mass protests outside Capcom HQ or find a way to entice the powers that be that is the soul-less Capcom business machine into actually releasing the prototype as planned considering it was commented on as actually rather good.

They should reboot the franchise like they originally intended for EXE only they should stick with the robot route.

They should reboot the franchise like they originally intended for EXE only they should stick with the robot route. Why would Capcom reboot Megaman Legends? This game would have essentially had to re-introduce the franchise after a 10 year gaming gap anyways. Reboot EXE? Madness. Lan needed to save the world over a dozen times in one final network battle via PROGRAM ADVANCE! SWORD----> WIDE SWORD-----> LONG SWORD----> PROGRAM ADVANCE!!! If your just talking about rebooting Rockman in general, Capcom can do what they always do, slap another continuity that is loosely based on one of the previous Rockmen.

Looks like Megaman is dead after all... Sure seems that way. I'd also point to the fact that Capcom has not included Megaman in either MvC3, or UMvC3.

The strangest part of Marvel Vs Capcom is how Tron Bonne made it in over the Blue Bomber himself. That to no end blows my mind.
Easy fix: Step One: Get super-rich(Around the 500 million mark would be enough). Step Two: Buy rights to Megaman / Rockman. Step Three: Flash cash in-front of Capcom execs(They love the $ signs). Step Four: Buy rights to Rockman / Megaman from Capcom. Step Five: Give rights to Inafune(Unless your greedy). Step Six: Yay Megaman / Rockman!

You would just give the rights away, you wouldn't sell them?
How admirable of you, but foolish!

Oh wow, looks like a bright future ahead for us, the human race.
Lol the Hitler video went the complete opposite way. Instead of him getting upset, he doesn't give a shit. Haha.
