He's certain to get a popularity boost with Nolan's latest film. People who have never heard of the character are likely to do some research. Google searches for 'Bane' and 'Catwoman' went through the roof when it was announced they'd be in TDKR.

Nonsense. He's dead because Loeb felt is was a good move to upgrade Wild Child and kill off Sabretooth. It's the natural evolution of his rogues. That's why it was called evolution, right?

Not much character in him besides hating Wolverine and raping/massacring women. He's a very effective villain whose classic status cannot be denied, but he just lacks in personality for me to care about him. Aaron helped by turning him into fricassée , too.
