I've been impressed by Snyder's tight plotting (and very good characterisation of both Dick and Gordon), but Jock is equally great, if not more so. The book is just beautiful to look at. Great combo, definitely recommended to anyone who enjoys street level characters in general, and the Bat-verse in particular.

I'd have to agree, the story and art so far has been fantastic. I think the art style is like Noir but not overboard Noir. It just seems like a really classy combination of story and art.
It looks like they might be handing the reigns of Detective Comics over to Tony Daniel when the revamp at DC happens. I like Daniel's take on Batman a lot but I'm not sure this is the right move if it's the case. Daniel is doing great with Batman's solo book and I just don't feel like you need the same writer doing both Batman and Detective Comics when Snyder/Jock is doing so well.

That'd be great, but I presume scheduling and shipping the issues in time would be the greatest problem.

I'd like to see other characters using their detective skills in Detective Comics. Like Riddle, Tim etc.
