Magneto leading the X-Men would be boss.

Magneto would be the most logical (and entertaining) choice, but, no, Marvel thinks the telepathic stripper has what it takes to lead Cyke's crew. As an actual fan of Emma's, I would still MUCH rather see Magneto in this role than her. I don't hate Emma despite coming off like that with my posts in this thread, it merely irks me a good deal that she's replacing Cyke. She's great as a counselor to the one that leads, but I can't see her being the actual leader of a big X-Men team without the development feeling forced.

Magneto leading the X-Men would be boss. He has done it before, so it shouldn't be a problem, too.

He honestly has the best leadership skills in the team.

I agree that it would not be a good position for her to be in. Truthfully thought, no one else aside from Magneto is springing to my mind to take the reigns should Scott fall.

Agreed. Emma herself actually acknowledged that very fact during the arc where Magneto brought Kitty back from space.

It's quite odd, but with such a big cast of characters, I would have expected more to be qualified for the task. Not necessarily on Cyke's or Magneto's level, but at least for us to think of them and say "yes, he/she could lead the team".
Wolverine is going to lead his own squad, and despite having the stature and commanding the necessary respect from his troops, I always view him as a better loner rather than a team player.

@morph Agreed, while Wolverine is capable of leading, it's not natural for him.

@morph Agreed, while Wolverine is capable of leading, it's not natural for him. Also, Wolverine is going to end up on the opposite side of the X-Men in all this it would seem.

Quite so. At least it doesn't feel forced.

It's the X-Men Civil War with Cyke/Logan playing the parts of Iron Man/Cap, after all. Even though the reason of the dispute can only be speculated upon for the time being.

I am going to be slightly subversive here and suggest that Prodigy be in charge. He has all of Cyclops leadership skills and knowledge and pretty much every X-man's skills and knowledge. He is also human at the moment so none of the humans could really ever call him on not knowing what it is like to be human. I think he would be the best option since giving Magneto power doesn't generally end well and Emma isn't a good enough leader.
What would people think about Rogue or Gambit as leader?
