Just announced by Marvel at the 'Cup O' Joe' panel. It seems that this (which was released a little while ago): Is in fact going to be this: Thoughts?

Lousy writer and a generally boring character?
Sign me up! Throw in some Bishop being evil for no reason and I'll just lay my money at Marvel's feet.

Also, Cable seems to be standing in a really weird position. Maybe he should step into the light some we can help him realign his neck.

ugh. The curse of Liefeld has still not been lifted. Pretty sure he's spreading to DC now...I think he is an artist on one of the new 52 titles.

Hating for the sake of it aside, Cable can be a fine character when handled by the correct writer. Nicieza for instance. That is pretty much applicable to any character, of course. That being said, I'm glad he's set to return because some good writer may again do something worthwhile with him. But one thing is almost sure: Loeb isn't going to be that writer.

: Loeb isn't going to be that writer. Yeah, I hope he at least comes up with a decent explanation for him being back though.

I'm cool with Cable being back, even if it's Loeb writing it. As long as he doesn't pull off a second Ultimatum in the process, there's not much that can go wrong.

lol Fury.
Despite everything recent he's produced, I'm going to hope Cable will get the "Batman Loeb" and not the "Hulk/Ultimates Loeb."

The Ultimates arc where Loeb brought back Thor was pretty decent...

DO NOT WANT!!!
So much for Marvel's new "killing off so many characters every quarter" or whatever.
I bet dollar to dime he will still be like 70 years old and obviously he still has the mechanical arm for no damn reason.
And yeah he is about 70 in the comics. Two decades ago (so about 2 years in comic time) Cyclops said Cable was old enough to be his father when Cyclops is roughly in his mid 30s making Cable mid 50s. Then he raised Hope for 16 years.

erik- Lol yeah they may kill a character every quarter but they are probably bringing more back to life than that haha.
Btw, who has it been so far? Just Bucky? I thought Marvel was going to have the balls to kill Mockingbird, but instead they just made her a super soldier!! LMAO!!!!!!! Like we fucking need more of those. So ridiculous.

Goddamn mediocre characters being brought back to life. He only had one series that even interesting and that was Cable and Deadpool. His "solo" series was not even that good. The only reason I read it was because of Hope.
