On a side note, to hell with DC for punting JSA into another world. Have I mentioned that before?

I only ever read JSA when Johns was writing it. Both times.

I only ever read JSA when Johns was writing it. Both times. You mean the bloated JSA? Under Johns the society just got too damn big. This mind you is coming fro an OLD fan of two of the largest teams in comics ( All Star Squadron - 60 active members at once, and LoSH with around 40 active). The thing is bot Thomas and Jerry Seigal used the plot device of only ever including a small part of the team in any single adventure. Most stories would involve a small team of around 5 to 8 members with the occasional cameo of some of the others looking into something else that would be the next story in a few issues. Even the really big events the team would break into small teams to face fart of the threat each. Under Johns we just had a mesh of a huge cast with most only getting cameo's each issue and not contributing much at all.

Well, maybe the Vol 3, but Vol 3 was... Not as good as Vol 2.
