The Dark Knight Rises has been filming at Heinz Field (the Steelers home field) in Pittsburgh for a few days, for scenes involving Bane on a microphone, a hostage, tumblers, and field destruction. Thanks to some videos from extras, we now have some footage of this scene being filmed, and get to hear Tom Hardy's Bane.
I'm warning you, it's not what you are expecting.

I....like it. Sounds weird, though, and it's very hard to make out. Almost sounds as if his throat/lungs are damaged, which could be why he wears the mask (if it acts as a sort of respirator or something) in this movie. Definitely not what I was expecting.
Not as much of a fan of the dumb electronic display showing "GOTHAM ROGUES" in a fancy animation. That looks silly as hell. (EDIT: oh, it's the football team. this makes more sense now.)
but i will trust nolan to make this all work

Sounds terrible and hilarious in my opinion. I was expecting a deep and menacing type of voice, but this just sounds ridiculous. I can't take Bane seriously if that's how he's going to sound.

Hard to tell with this. The quality of these videos could be better.

Is it possible that Bane wasn't the one actually speaking? He had a whole posse with him, it looked like, and it didn't look like he was carrying any sort of megaphone in that second video. Could just be some random henchman dude, or his second in command, or whatever.
And it's also a possibility that they'll deeper or alter his voice in post-production, like Batman's voice in TDK (which, if I recall correctly, wasn't nearly as gravelly when Bale was performing but they altered it in the editing process. Could be way off on that, though).

There's a picture I'll update the op with when I'm on my laptop.
I understand altering it in post production is a possibility but it still doesn't make sense for him to be speaking this way.

Well, if his lungs or throat got all fucked up, his voice could sound pretty weird. But even so, I imagine Nolan will make this work, or it'll work in the film, or he'll alter the voice, or he'll justify it somehow.
(crazy ass director has earned my trust at this point and Hardy is a pretty cool cat)
I think I'm gonna start a personal media blackout for this movie. I knew almost nothing about Batman Begins and TDK going into it, but I've already seen what the two new central characters sound like and I've heard one (maybe). Feelin' kinda spoiled.

well, there goes that theory.
but he's got his dumb jacket off and he looks a lot better without it so that's nice.

I can't imagine his voice will sound like this in the end product because I'm sure (hopefully) Nolan wouldn't put something so off putting into the movie.
I understand that production is a process and taken out of context, seeing filming can seem downright weird. So I always try to reserve judgement until I at least see a trailer.

Looking at that picture and listening to that video has me worried. But Nolan has done more than enough to earn my trust.

Seriously, I'm not worried. Everyone said that Heath Ledger as the Joker would suck, and they were proven wrong, terrible wrong.

I'm trying my best to reserve judgment with all of the on-set unofficial releases. For all we know, movie magic will touch up his voice, as well as size. After, the only two OFFICIAL releases implied Bane is a rather large individual (the hunched over image, and the few second shot of him lurking towards a tired Batman).

If it turns out being a bad movie, so be it. God forbid I keep an open mind about unofficially released on set pictures, though

Didn't say anything about it being a bad movie. Bane just looks and sounds awful so far. Who knows what they will or won't do in post-prod.

Exactly why I'm reserving judgement for more official stuff.
