Good point, I hadn't thought about it. Maybe size constraints?

I wanted to jump up during that final scene and scream, "They're learning!" I wanted to jump up, break the fourth wall and knock the daylights out of Malfoy each and every time his face was shown. Is it really surprising that Draco fucking Malfoy inadvertently created ape-on-human racism?

At one point in the movie, I suddenly realized that I was watching a conversation between Harry Osborne, William Stryker, Gollum, and Draco Malfoy.
And random hot Indian chick.

It gets big points for having Dr Rodney Manly Mckay in the film. Well now I have to watch it...

Yeah I had absolutely no idea Hewlett was going to be in this movie, much less playing a somewhat important role in shaping the Planet-of-the-Apes-verse. The guy is the king of playing a very annoyed man. =)

Being the unrepentant Ape fan that I am, I loved this film, it took me back to the old movies which is something that Tim Burtons barf failed to do. It isn't quite at the level of the classics, but it's well done, respectful of the sources and succeeds in bringing it's own conflicts and interactions.
I don't see recent movies very often, but this was among the best CGI I have seen, top notch, very expressive, functional and not just pretty. I loved the fact that it had enough depth to make you feel that the less impressive scenes is where the action happens, still the movements and the personality of the ape characters made it very enjoyable.
This is how prequels are done George Lucas.
