As of right now, including Sinestro himself, I don't see a bigger threat in that particular Corps. The Weaponer was formidable enough to put up a solid fight against Sinestro and dominate Kyle Rayner, as well as harness the white energy against both (which Sinestro stated as being "remarkable"). Now, just think about what he can do now that he has his original creation to his already-daunting arsenal. For self-explanitory reasons, he knows the Qwardian ring as well as anybody and has proven to be as inventive and resourceful as any other active member. So, in other words, don't expect him to fall into the "forever irrelevant" ranks like Seer Ruggle. While the truce between Sinestro/GLC remains intacted, keep an eye out for Qward's own renowned Weaponer. I have no doubt he's going to cut loose and carve a name for himself in the DCU in the near future.

I wouldn't be so confident of that, with the upcoming reboot and all.

The Weaponer was formidable enough to put up a solid fight against Sinestro and dominate Kyle Rayner, Now I know I am about a month behind in my reading, but last I saw, Sinestro stomped the Weaponer. It wasn't a fight at all. Sinestro casually shrugged off attacks that crippled a group of GLs that included a Guardian.

I believe he's talking about the first fight, not the rematch.

What's said and what is shown on panel are different. What we saw was Sinestro casually brushing off attacks and the Weaponer staring in fear.

Note that the Weaponer was awesome with his white light weapons, which are pretty much an I win button against most lanterns. It is unlikely he kept those when he took the yellow ring.
