My roommate and his dad just recently got me started playing D&D. Fun as heck.

I've been playing Pen and Paper rpgs (including DnD) since I was 8 years old.

Back in high school, I tried to play a game of D&D. But back then I was mostly part of the jock crowd and the nerds did not think I was "cool" enough and refused to let me play. True story.

Kids of all cliques can be jackasses. Though I'm happy to say I've never stopped anyone from trying RPGs at my games unless: A) That person is a douche B) I don't have the space to allow new players (because of the needs of the activity)

It took almost a decade of post high school misery to get to that point. I used to be a very nice guy, especially in high school lol. Fuggin nerds. I should'a sent the football team after them and given them swirlies.

...the fuck is a swirly?
I also got rejected from D&D because they thought I would troll them. Which is a shame, because I would have.
You know we could have a D&D game on here? Just, probably not with me as GM because I apparently don't have time for anything, ever.

that's weird not any new good content out? Yes and no. See DnD has gone through 4 editions (with some of them getting errata or slight rule clarifications) where rules and fluff (gameworld, etc) went through revision and updates. From first edition to 3rd revised, the game just got better and better. As a role-playing system and game world. However, the second to last edition (3rd edition revised) had some problems, even if in my opinion it was the best edition by far. In an attempt to solve the problems, they put out a few years back 4th edition. Except what they released had nothing of what made the previous editions great. And they pretty much wrecked or raped their gameworlds. Hence why there is a vast population of DnD players (such as myself) who do not play the latest edition (4th) and consider it a travesty of the game. Erik-El: You don't want to mess with nerds. They're the ones giving you jobs later on

I fully intend to act like Dr. Cox/Dr. House to my boss once I graduate. Nerds will not scare me. Fear is how I will rule.

Ah the swirly, the weak man's wedgie You got that reversed man. It does not take much effort at all to give a wedgie. On the flip side, when someone is not looking forward to getting a swirly like the kid in the video, you most often have a fight on your hands before and after.

A real man makes every wedgie and atomic wedgie! That takes skill and strength! As robot chicken teaches us.

no it's true, no one could be that bitter, physically weak and antisocial as Doctor House and have been a jock. Only the bitterness inducing, ridicule laden life of a nerd who knows he's better then everyone else can produce Cox and House.
