Agree about the villains in GA 1 but i thought it was a good set up for the new concept and the way the character seems to be aimed gives me a lot of hope (High moral character, rather than teh mixed morals we've seen from Ollie under some other recent artists). It took amny of the turns i'd expect to become more Smallville like.
Liked Action, JL was good.
I thought JLI had promise, but I'm not so sure about the "humor" angle as you. The fact that Bat's thought highly of BG lends me to think that Booster is closer to the one from his last title (a bit more serious hero who fixes time with Hunter - who ensures that he has no adverse effects on the time line by making himself look like a joke). I see this eventually being played out to show that Booster in this new reality saved Bab's from Jokers shooting where he failed (umpteen times) in the old. Still have a few that I've picked up and not read yet.

I wasn't even thinking about Booster when I made the comedic comment. What I had in mind were the stereotypes displayed at the UN meeting (Nyet, we shall not support! Oh, a russian on the roster? You make excellent choice!), and the team interactions (Red Rocket and August General in Iron, for example).

Does anyone think the New 52 was a bad move by DC?

K4tz scared me there with his ability to morph his skin color to pop out randomly in the video. Does anyone think the New 52 was a bad move by DC? Right now? Yeah, at least in terms of profit / success, whether that remains the case we will see!

I have a huge window next to my laptop, thus the half-albino look. But, JL#1 is the top selling comic of 2011 so far

Oh yeah, no clue on the status of the other books and the figures are sure to drop, but I think it's a good move so far.

I'm in agreement on pretty much all points. I've bought 10 issues so far which blows away my previous DC pull list of only a few a month.
Next video: DR SOLAR!

Overall my feelings about the reboot have been positive. But there are still a few issues I have yet to read.
