Oh, yeah Horde mode is all about playing online. I have no idea about Beast Mode, but I'd assume so.

I played GoW3 on Xbox Live for a few hours last night, great fun.

Played Gears all night again. That game is so addicting. I 'graduated' from the casual versus and now I can only play standard versus....nooooo!!!! Lol. Casual was so much easier

Horde mode is great fun, haven't tried beast mode yet.

Just beat the campaign mode. Great stuff. I'm sad the series is over now.

It's not over. They hyped it as that, but Cliffy B said in an interview something along the lines of "If Gears 3 does well, it would be dumb to stop it there."

And yeah, I think they and everyone else knew the game would do well, lol. Personally, I'd love to see them expand the GoW universe with an entirely new game.

I'm not naive enough to believe they wouldn't actually make more GoW games as they all do so well. I figured they would do something akin to the Halo series, either branch off like with Recon, or do a prequel like they did with Reach. A prequel could obviously be done with the Pendulum Wars, which in the latter years include a younger Marcus, Dom's brother Carlos, and Tao. Cole and Baird signed up on E-Day, so unfortunately we wouldn't see them.

They could potentially do something after GoW3, like what Halo 4 is doing (a new and different trilogy with the same main character after the first trilogy finished), but I don't see it. I won't go into detail unless you don't mind me spoiling the ending for you.

Something in particular you would want to see?

Sold over 3 million copies in its first week and is the biggest selling game of 2011 (so far until MW3 ) GoW franchise has also made over $1 billion. That's amazing considering it is only being sold on one platform.

Yeah, I'd say they will find a way to make another.

When I say an entirely new game, I meant flat-out everything is fresh for the universe. A RTS, for example. Imagine commanding an entire army of COG forces (assorted troops, tanks, hellicopters, etc) vs locust.

They would probably make it COG vs Locust vs Lambent, and it could make for a great RTS. Halo actually did that as well with Halo Wars. It would be cool but I would like to see them make another FPS.

Bungie did it VERY well with Halo Wars. That game rocks.

You make TPS (third person shooter). Unless you'd like to see a FPS in the GoW universe, which I think could be good, too.

You're right, I meant TPS. I'm just so used to typing FPS. Uhh nah I don't think I'd want to see a FPS. GoW is perfect for TPS.

I think I'm actually going to play through (or attempt to) the campaign again on hard or insane whatever it is.

I'm still not that great at versus mode, I've been having a problem with dying a lot. But, I played it for a while yesterday and kinda figured out how to play better and now I'm pretty good at it. Getting a lot higher K/D ratios.

Using the sawed-off shotgun and retro lancer.
