I can't say I've ever really cared for the campaign. I'm all about the competitive (or with friends, cooperative) multiplayer.

Protoss.
Personally, I find that the campaign while not completely bad suffers from all the pitfalls of blizzard storytelling.

I've always favored Zerg, despite them likely being the most difficult to pull off well in multi (win quickly, if not, adapt fast or die). I love the design and attacks of Hydralisks, but they're nothing special in terms of effectiveness.

First attempt at SC2 multiplayer was fail. Amassed a grand total of 9000 points. But to be fair, I hadn't even played single player or anything, and didn't even know how to make anything. Second game I got 27,000 points. So within a few games I learned pretty fast but am still clueless.

And chalk up the first win for me in multiplayer. Me and my friend just won in a pretty dominating performance. First 4 times I've played....1-3. Can't be too upset.

I ended up with battle cruisers, Thors, siege tanks, and marines with some svc's and a few med planes in there.
