Are they righting social injustice?
Or are they just a bunch of whiners?
What thinks you, internet?

Both or perhaps neither. They believe in what they are there for, even if they aren't quite sure what that is as a whole. Either way I doubt they will accomplish much of anything outside turning the public against them.

1)Are they righting social injustice? 2)Or are they just a bunch of whiners? 3)What thinks you, internet? 1) I'd say no 2) Depends on who amongst them 3) the likelihood they will achieve anything is close to zero

What are they protesting? "We all have too much money!"

They are protesting the corrupt and greedy business practices of those who have the power to decide how the economy is run.

IMHO they're not going to accomplish anything and it's only fodder for the assorted things they apparently do want accomplished. Not the idiots who think the entire system can be broken down and rebuilt immediately, but the more realistic goals regarding stuff like the Bush Tax Cuts, foreign affairs, etc. There are definitely A LOT of uninformed people, but I don't think that means we can just laugh off some of the things they're (attempting) to say.

I'm not laughing at what they are trying to say. In fact judging from some of the interviews of people there. Some of them should be listened to. It's just that the big wigs neither care nor will give a rats ass what the common people want.

Laugh it off isn't directed at you specifically, nor was any of the post for that matter. It's in response to how the actions of many in these movements are only serving as fodder and hurting the cause they hope to obtain. A good deal of the media is jumping on this, one example provided by Norcal.

Well that's the downside of freedom of speech. It means jackasses with more money like Fox News and republicans are also allowed to speak.

I'm not saying it's by any means "a fair and balanced" representation of what's going on, but there's no denying there's a good amount of idiots in the movement. Then again, same applies to any large group in public.

Regardless of the intent here or the legitimacy of some of the complaints, the voices of the clueless, uninformed and downright ignorant are what's being heard loud and clear. To me, there is nothing intelligent about this type of protest and I don't think it will ever effect any real changes.

I completely agree that it's the soundbites from the idiots that make the best television, so they're the ones that are heard. It's unfortunate, because imho there are some legitimate causes muddled into their extremely mixed message (bush tax cuts, corporate loop-holes)...but it's a shame the stupidity like "ZOMG BUSH IS HILTER" and "EVERYONE SHOULD BE EQUALS" overwhelms it.

There are plenty of different viewpoints in this world. I have plenty of friends there, seeing as that's where I work. Naturally we don't always agree, but plenty I know are open minded. However, I have encounterd my fair share of people who have a wall sealed off to any opposing viewpoints. But you'll find that from anyone too far on either side of the aisle.

Not every Republican who watches Fox News is a "jackass." There are plenty of different viewpoints in this world. Which is completely irrelevant to my point. My point is that Fox news and the position is completely asshatery. Which is the problem, whether others who aren't them have a different opinion has zero bearing to my point.
