Batman (Bruce) is armed with all of his usual gear. Taskmaster is unarmed. Batman has been informed of Taskmaster's movement copying abilties, and has been given one hour of video footage of Taskmaster's fights. Taskmaster is told nothing about Batman. Both are in character. Victory by KO or death. They start 20 feet apart in the middle of a street in Gotham City. No cars or civilians around, at dusk.

What counts as Batman's usual gear? He's gadgets tend to fluctuate based on the story so I'd prefer to hear specifics.

Cowl, batarangs, grapple gun, smoke pellets. That's all the stuff I can name off-hand that he regularly uses. He supposedly also carries a crapload of other items in his utility belt, but is hardly ever seen using the majority of them.

Then I'd say Taskmaster. He's copied enough agile characters to dodge Batman's ranged attacks and in theory he should be Batman better in h2h.

How good is taskmaster at detecting ambushes?

How good is taskmaster at detecting ambushes? Don't know, but they start 20 feet apart in a completely empty street, how will Batman turn that into an ambush?

Batman can disappear in plain sight. He's done that many, many times. Since he knows exactly how Taskmaster operates. He'll ambush and gas him, game over.

In front of normal people who have obvious visual and mental impairments.
No, he has only seen a hour worth of Taskmaster fighting.
He does this all the time to all of his opponents.
NOT!

Batman has done that to Azrael as well, and if you wanna get down to who does what more consistently then Tasky loses on virtue of never winning a fight ever LOL.

I actually lean toward Taskmaster in this fight, but to be honest, there is more accuracy in this post than not. Consistency is not Taskmaster's friend; so using that as an argument against Batman ruins a potential case for Taskmaster. Either way, Taskmaster should win more often than not. Bats could win if he managed to pull out an incapacitating gadget mid-combat, but I doubt that would be effective a majority of the time.

I think logically it should be a good fight and i'd like to see it happen in a crossover.

Jobber aura aside Taskmaster should win a slight majority.

Batman is the superior combatant regardless of what Taskmaster has mastered. There are perks to having the capacity to actually learn different styles of combat as opposed to copying via photograhic reflexes.

That's what I always kinda thought about Taskmaster, but everybody else was always like, "No, Taskmaster is like da gr34test martial artist in da worldd."

Batman could use his grappling gun to zip up to the top of a building before Taskmaster could get in range. At this point, he can move from building to building till he achieves the optimum moment and location from which to strike. Taskmaster won't see it coming and will get KOed. Batman is too smart and too stealthy to not take down Taskmaster.

Taskmaster is very impressive but there are flaws in the way he approaches combat.
