Cyclops is generally wrong in both his leadership and prosecution of his job. Wolverine is right, Cyke is wrong.
Hatred of Mutants alone doesn't make sense but hatred of all superhumans does.

Besides, virtually every super hero in the modern era has had a teen partner that they've endangered. It's not just Cyclops.
