Due to the events in Schism, I'm surprised I haven't seen a debate of this type spring up yet.
Between Cyclops and Wolverine, who do you believe was right? Should children be made soldiers if it gives the mutant race a better chance of surviving?

Kids shouldn't be made into soldiers. They should be taught how to use their powers so that don't hurt others by mistake and so they can defend themselves, but that's it.

I'm torn. Kids shouldn't be made into soldiers but this is a unique scenario. It gives them a better chance of surviving but....

If mutant kids need to become soldiers in order to save their race, then it should be done.

They don't need to become soldiers to save their race though.

I don't know what's going on, and I don't care. I'll never side with doucheclops.

So, as someone who has no interest in actually catching up or reading X-men, can anyone sum up both sides for me? Which one wants to have an army of child soldiers?

So, as someone who has no interest in actually catching up or reading X-men, can anyone sum up both sides for me? Which one wants to have an army of child soldiers? It started when there was some terrorist attack at a museum a few X-Men were visiting. All the X-Men there got KOed except for one teenage girl I don't even know. The punks set some kind of bomb to go off and nobody else could get there in time to help. Then Cyclops was all like, "Ok, whateveryournameis, do what you think you have to do." And then the girl killed all the terrorists. And then Cyclops was all like "You did what had to be done to save innocent lives" and Wolverine was all like "Goshdangit Slim, you just turned a kid into a killer." Then it kinda hit an apex when some seriously massive Sentinel was about to attack the X-Men's island base. The only people available to fight were Cyke, Logan, and a crapload of students. Cykie was all like "Ok kids. Time to defend this rock. Form up on me" and Wolvie was all like "Screw that, Summers. These kids are gonna get themselves killed. They aint soldiers." Then after the Sentinel was defeated and all that, Wolvie was all like, "I don't want no part in this anymore Slim. We gotta go back to being a school instead of a boot camp."

Nice job Nexus. The girl that killed the terrorists (members of the Hellfire Club) was Idie.

While I understand Cyclops' stand-point and can even see the possible necessity of it, from a moral perspective I have to agree with the stand that Wolverine has taken.

It's pretty much a classic "do the ends justify the means" scenario.

When you have to ask if the ends justify the means the answer is probably no.

Turning children into soldiers is wrong. Cyclops is a douche, and marvel's population are idiots, their hate of mutants makes no sense
