His voice in the film was by a Liverpudlian like myself. He was the room mate of Pegg and Frost in Shaun of the Dead. I wonder why they got Witwer?

I find it hillarious that they're bringing Maul back after already introducing an expy of him for the sole purpose of having Maul on the show.
But hey, at least he has a voice this time around. Maybe some personality will follow ;D

Maul has already been brought back about three times before (granted, one of them was confirmed as canon, one was confirmed as non-canon, and one was ambiguous). Stop reviving Maul already. There is no point, especially since TCW retconned his past anyway, retcons that took the efforts of James Luceno and Ryder Windham to incorporate into continuity in a way that makes sense. Enough is enough.

The main stream Star Wars fans don't follow the comics, so they're oblivious to the fact he reappeared in the expanded universe. Plus, it connects to the re-release of TPM, and his fight really is the main appeal of that one. If it sells, FORCE IT. But hey, I'm not complaining
