Writer: Kyle Higgins Cover & Pencils: Eddy Barrows "Bloodlines" Nightwing leaps into the Night of Owls as Mayor Hady is targeted for execution by the Court of Owls! The Good:We start off with some great back history on the Talon in this story, William Cobb. Born in Gotham in 1901 and raised in poverty we see how his upbringing has shaped his feelings on the elite of Gotham. Growing up on the streets of Gotham forged his spirit and desire to fight back against the wealthy of Gotham. Higgins does an excellent job here with Cobb's origin. This hasn't been done in the other issues and it's a very nice touch. Learning Cobb's motives for his involvement with the Court of Owls really gets the reader sympathizing with the antagonist in this one. There's also a great fight scene with Grayson and one of the Talons that really shows off Dick's all around skills. The art by Eddy Barrows is outstanding as well. Going along with the darker overtones of the other tie ins this issue is as visually pleasing as you'll find in the new DCnU. The Bad:Nothing. Overall:This issue may be the best Night of Owls issue so far. There's action, intrigue and a pretty nice surprise that involves Cobb & Grayson. 5/5
