I've known about this for awhile, but not sure if everyone else does so I figured I'd share it. Marvel is turning Carol Danvers, currently Ms. Marvel, into Captain Marvel. I have to admit that I am not a fan of this change. I really like Carol Danvers as Ms. Marvel and I don't know why Marvel feels the need to mess with an established character so dramatically. The last Ms. Marvel ongoing went 50 issues and I think that's a rarity for a female lead character ongoing book in the Marvel U. If it's not broken, don't fix it. Here are a couple of articles on the subject. The second contains an interview with Kelly Sue DeConnick, who is writing the new title. It debuts in July. I never cared much about Ms Marvel or Captain Marvel, so this change doesn't effect me much.

teasing is not proof of Peter manhood. We need scans of actual pre, post (or if max comics during) of Miss Marvel bonking, otherwise it never happened.

Haven't read CM#1 but her appearance in Avenging Spider-Man 39 was awesome.

I bought Captain Marvel #1. I didn't think it was anything spectacular, but I'll give it a couple of more issues before I decide if it's going to remain on my pull-list or not.
