I thought the pilot was... alright. Some of the dialogue/acting was cheesy/awkward and there were a few things in the plot that bugged me. I'm reeeeeeeeeeeeally curious to see how they'll address Ollie flat-out choking out his security guard -- if they even decide to address it instead of just moving forward. That'll be tough to talk your way out of. Also, I know it happens all the time in shows like this, but it's pretty funny how terrible the bad guys are when it comes to aim. The final twist didn't really grab me and I thought it was hilarious police were searching the office but somehow the blinking USB/hacking arrow right on the wall eluded them. Worst. Detectives. Ever. I'm sounding like a negative nancy, so how about some positives. The action (despite the atrocious aim) was really entertaining, as were the stunts. The flashbacks are what interested me the most, so I'm going to stick around to see more of Ollie's training and what took place on the island (not to mention Stephen Amell did a solid job). Plus, how could I not keep watching after Deathstroke was so blatantly teased?! I like they're throwing in a lot of extras for comic fans -- but Drakon's treatment has me questioning how they'll handle the likes of Deadshot and others. Guess I'll have to wait and see. Overall, I'd probably give the pilot a 3/5. PS. Drakon

I thought it was ok, I didn't have high expectations for it. I'll watch more of it. At least Stephen is hot. lol

I don't get good enough bandwidth to watch TV episodes at school. I'll have to wait to check this out until I go home for break.

I finally got a chance to sit down and watch the pilot. I thought it was a pretty solid first episode with some surprisingly violent scenes for network tv.
Random Thoughts: -The costume is cool. -The face paint is not. Personally, I think it'd be much easier to change out of his costume faster if he just had a mask to discard. -Are all of the scenes going to take place at night? If not then the first time he operates during the day someone is going to see his face. -I'm good with bits and pieces of his origin as we go along. -Drakon was a chump. Why no have Ollie massacre the security team and then bring in Drakon as a specialist type?
All in all I enjoyed it and will keep watching.

The face paint idea is retarded. It's a thin strip over his eyes that would only protect his identity if he was going up against people who are certifiably blind. When he was threatening Adam Hurt he was literally face to face with the guy and Hurt could still only ID him as "a guy in a green hood". It's just nonsensical.
Some of the dialogue (especially his monologue at the very beginning) was corny and there was a fair bit of exposition at times.
Drakon was disappointing. I hope Slade and Lawton aren't treated the same way.
Anyone else get a Batman Begins vibe from this pilot? Billionaire playboy disappears for years, is declared dead, returns home to find his father's company in the hands of another man, maintains a public image as a drunken reprobate while moonlighting as a vigilante, has an old sweetheart who currently works as a public defender.
I did like the action, however, And I think the characterization of his family and friends and so on was well done and made them interesting enough for me to come back for the second episode. I especially liked the bit where the detective asks Ollie "Did you even try to save my daughter?", For most of the episode I just thought he was the usual hardass cop, but that line set up a nice tension.

Very strong Batman begins vibe, but there is far worse source material to play off of.

Lol! Well, It's not that great right now, but I'm gonna stick with it for awhile in hopes it will get better. But if it stays like this for a whole season I'll probably drop it.

Watched it the other day. It got shit quick. They are clearly teen girls in charge of this show. The cast a notouriously bad actor to play Drakon. Awful dialouge. I found it insulting to the characters and the fans.
