I hated season 5, but season 6 was consistently good.
Nowadays I'm more for the 12 episode series. Everything is usually better because the story is more compact. There is no filler.

My biggest gripe with this show is the fight scenes. They are wayyyyy too short.

Remember fight/action scenes in Smallville that didn't have super speed effects, where they would record 1/2 speed so when they played it at normal, it would "appear" to be happening really fast?

Zod versus Clark was fast. That's not what I really mean. I mean some of the fights were like Walker: Texas Ranger fights. The fights just look off due to the speed of the recording in order to make them look "fast". I am NOT talking about super speed fights. |

the villains are morons, the treatment of Drakon was shameful and the plot twists could be seen coming from miles away.

I would have found it awesome if on the first episode, Ollie shows up trying to act like a badass, Drakon curbstomps him, and he actually has to run away. Then the real story starts where Ollie realizes he's dealing with very, very dangerous people.
