20 minutes into the first episode and I very much don't like the main girl, Charlie Matheson.
I don't know why Abrams thinks that in order to be a strong woman, you have to be a completely unlikable, spoiled bitch.

Nope, tried to give this show a shot but I cannot stand Charlie. She is spoiled, pretentious, argumentative, haughty, she ignores direction that will save her life and the lives of others, and she is crushing on the boy that is trying to get her and her party killed. That kind of person does not even exist in real life. Not even the Kardashians have that combination of stupid and stuck up bitchiness.

The only thing that makes me want to check this out is Abrams name. That's it. I was excited for it because of the plot and to the show's credit, most everyone is doing great. Charlie just needs to not be the main character anymore unless they really take her character in a new direction fast. |

Against my better judgement, I caught up on the series completely because I love the idea of it so much. Turns out trying to be forgiving with a terrible show just keeps it terrible.

Bottom line is that this show has either a terrible lead actress or a shitty director. Since the show has had a different director for all 5 episodes so far and most everyone else is at least tolerable, I am inclined to believe it is the former. What a shame. Modern-day western/revolutionary age television show right down the shitter because of one hot but horrible actress.
