I see. Well I am not sure about other characters but one of Wolverine's powers is to evolve. He is no Darwin but Beast did say that Wolverine's body was constantly evolving and that the adamantium skeleton is what has halted that evolution. I thinks it the conscious decision to evolve or spontaneous evolution of a resistance to an external stimuli I was thinking about. Hence the characters I mentioned and as you said, Darwin. So far it's the toughest power to rank. The others I mentioned are mostly done. I am just populating the grid with examples of objects of equivalent size or mass so people can use them more easily when looking at a feet e.g. The height of Goliath or the height of Ant Man

Well that's another 3 hrs of work on this grid.......and it still seems no closer to being finished....crap! I take solice in the fact that I should be able to do another 8+ hrs on it this week and that should put it a lot closer to being finished (I hope). For some of the powers like Growth, Shrinking, Density increase, Density decrease and stretching, they are straight forward charts as its simple mathematical increments e.g the character grows to 15', 60' or 500'. So these are complete bar for the examples of size, weight, length etc and I am about 40% through adding these touches. However all the other powers, like shape change, evolution, power duplication / vampirism, invisibility, duplication and matter / energy duplication are tougher. I cannot rate them on my commonly used 1 to 30 scale because of the variable inputs for each power. So to accomodate these I have made a Adders list for each power. So for invisibility you can pick from how many senses are you invisible to (+1 to 6), using your power to counteract another's invisibility power (+1), partial invisibility (+1), the range that you project the invisibility at (+1 to 11) and the area it covers (+1 to 11). In this way you can describe the power of the character and the Adders list again totals to 30 so the ranking stays on a similar scale. I have the Adders lists done for Evolution, Power Duplication / Vampirism, Duplication and Matter / Energy Duplication as well. I have just Shape Change to complete but that's the hardest one. So not long now.

Wow. I like how you set up the more difficult powers. Sue is going to rock some socks on her invisibility chart.

Wow. I like how you set up the more difficult powers. Sue is going to rock some socks on her invisibility chart. I hope so. It was the only method I could come up with that was quite straightforward. I am still trying to come up with a chart for Agility but it ain't easy.

Well that's everything completed except for the references comparing weights, sizes etc which are now 50% completed. So by the end of the week I should be finished.

Just the weight / density examples to complete for the mass decrease grid and I can get this thing posted. Should be tomorrow night with a little luck.

Scratch that last posting. I have finished the grid but it needs proof reading. Went to upload the image and crap! Crap! Crap!, it's slightly too large (like 60kb). I'll shrink it tomorrow and post it. When its up, please feedback thoughts. Also note, this grid is the first one to cover a lot of powers in 1 go unlike previous ones that focussed on a single characteristic.

See if it fits with any characters you can think of that use these powers. Don't go over board on listing any. When we are happy with t format, I will put it in its own thread and we can begin populating it. I would suggest we make a list of characters for each power, to rank.

I think it looks great. I'll start the list by adding a few to each category.
Invisibility Invisible Woman
Growth Hank Pym Clint Barton Uncle Sam Goliath Black Goliath Stature
Shrinking Wasp Hank Pym Ant-Man Doll Man Doll Man 2
Mass Increase Vision Thunder
Mass Decrease Vision Kitty Pryde(?)
Stretch Elongated Man Plastic Man Mr. Fantastic
Shapeshifting Martian Manhunter
Evolution
Duplication Multiple Man
Power Duplication/Vampirism Mimic
Matter/Energy Duplication
How about characters who achieve this via Magic?

Creator, just to get some clarification. I'll throw out some ranks for say Nuklon/Atom smasher and my reasoning and see what you think.
Growth 7/8 I thought seven because he's stated to grow to 100 feet tall and his starting height is supposed to be around 7 foot 6. that would make his height change roughly 15 times his normal. The 8 is because frankly some of his feats are above the limit.
Mass increase 4/5. Based o the fact that he's increased his density to become reasonably impervious in Infinity Inc and in JSA when he struck BA and sent him through the skylight I figure the only way he could do so to a 100+ tonner is if his 70 tonne strength mass were increased bay at least 8 times. (doubling would only have mildly moved BA quadrupling a slight recoil). Combined with catching a flying airliner (again well over his strength class when you consider the thrust required to create enough lift to get such a bird airborne).
Mass reduce 26/27 since he's passed through objects.
Is that about right??
Mass decrease
