Apologies everyone. I've been away on holiday for the last week but now I'm back and we can hopefully get back on track. I still need some feedback on the matter manipulation grid. If someone can cast an eye over it and give me some feedback, that would be great.

I like the range and mass categories. Makes me wonder if it is in fact possible for us to have a fine motor control on the Force Field option as well.
Which actually got me thinking, Telekinesis does not get it's own category, which is fine. It is just tacked onto other grids. But I noticed it is not in all relevant grids. Such as matter/energy manipulation, endurance, and kinetic/energy durability.
Not many characters have TK feats for some of these but one example that comes to mind is Jean, using only her TK, could push the atoms around in her clothes to make them into other clothes. To alter the atomic/molecular structure of something is matter manipulation, but this was achieved not through matter manipulation like Plutonian, but through TK only (at least at the time. The lines of what her powers are have since blurred).

I looked at the Force Field ratings and by simply reducing the Kinetic and Energy adder p from +2 to +1, we can introduce a fine manipulation adder at a value of +1. I think I would simply give characters who can do this with TK a rating on the matter manipulation grid as it effectively duplicates the matter manipulation power. We might just make a note that they can do this as a subset of their TK abilities.

We never did an awesome grid.
1 - Superman/Shazam/Captain Britain 2 - the rest.

This grid covers matter manipulation. The idea is that when ranking the feat, we select a range at which the manipulation can be done (first 2 columns) and the select either an area of effect or a mass that can be manipulated (columns 3 - 6). Then we can average the ranks of the 2 numbers. This number will be between 1 to 26. If the character can transmute matter and can shape it then there are up to 4 ranks of adders that can be selected so again ranks range from 1 to 30 in total. Please review and comment. Looks good to me Creator. Sorry for not being around much lately

Looks good to me Creator. Sorry for not being around much lately That's ok Beat. I want to make another big push on the grids before Christmas. I will get the Force Field grid modified and get the Energy Durability grid finished and posted and then it should be just populating them.

Ok. The force field grid has been modified and will be posted this weekend. The energy durability grid is about 3 hrs from completion and that will go up this weekend as well. And that's the end of the actual grids. Although I have tried to create an agility grid, there is simply not a good enough frame of reference to stratify characters with, so I would say we are stuck with Reaction Speed.
Now I have a question for everyone.
Would a smaller 20 or 25 point scale be better than the current 30 pt scale as I feel that it can sometimes be hard to separate characters out across this larger range of numbers. Thoughts?

I personally like the 30 point scale. It actually makes it easier to separate characters that are too close together, yet not close enough for me to say they are on the same level.

I agree with Erik. 30 is good.

I agree with Erik. 30 is good. Ok, I'll leave the 30 pt scale in place.

Its been years since I last posted here. I must say the passion to complete the grids has waned as my comics reading has waned.

Goos to see you still popin from time to time It’s good to see you both checking this out once in a while. I stopped reading comics in 2012. The desire for comic discussion waned from there. I only check this place when I want to see if Proboards has shut it down haha.
