So almost 4 years ago now, I stopped collecting comics. I had not bought a single issue in all that time......until today. With moving to a new country, I was checking out the local comic shops just from curiosity and I saw the last 4 issues of The Twelve. So they finally got round to printing the end of this interesting series........so I bought them. Felt good to sit down his afternoon and read them. Not sure if I'll buy anything else but we'll see.

I think, since you have ventured vastly into the realm of comics and many different types. I think you should focus maybe on the writers? Or newer stories people have said are good. Maybe not series, but trades or story arcs.
Just a thought.

I knew the last few issues of The Twelve came out but I didn't read them. I was too afraid the ending would not be worth the wait. I was really in love with Captain Wonder, The Phantom Reporter, and Black Widow. I didn't really care about the others but I wanted those three to make it through the series and spread into other titles.

Maybe not series, but trades or story arcs. Just a thought. We are on the same wavelength. I'm already thinking about some trades. Not too many but just a few key ones. Collecting in the past was crazy, with monthly orders of 55 - 75 issues, so I'm certainly never returning to that.

I saw the plot ending from a mile away but it was crisply written and the plot stayed true to the characters.

Maybe I'll give them a read then. I really did enjoy Captain Wonder's struggle with the death if his family and waking up in the future. It's how I always thought Captain America should have been written but he had no problem adjusting.

Well I've gone and done it now........I bought all the back issues of the recent entire relaunched line of Valiant comics and Armageddon and Hypernauts and a few others (including an Invincible TPB)......damn me for being weak. I have yet to sit down and read them all.....Mega crap, I just spent something like $140.....it's like the bad old days all over again. At least I'm not collecting Marvel or DC.
